Service Problems

The first priority of the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority (the “Authority”) is to provide water and sewer services to its customers throughout Fauquier County.  However, with over 150 miles of water and sewer lines, 35 wells, 3 wastewater treatment plants, 17 sewage pumping stations and over 6,600 customer accounts, problems will occur.  Please remember that the service lines from your property line to your residence or business are you private property and your responsibility to maintain.

If you have a problem that you suspect may be related to our service mains, please call us at (540) 349-2092.  Our regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. During nights, weekends and holidays, before our offices are opened and after they are closed, the Authority’s phones are automatically forwarded to our answering service.  Emergency Response staff is available 24 x 7 to respond to emergencies and to correct problems as they occur.
